Concrete

Concrete is Comme des Garçons' ode to New York - but the name provides no clue to the scent itself. This is a soft fragrance encased in a hard shell.

The perfumer Nicholas Beaulieu's assignment was to create a deconstructed, unique sandalwood scent, and the result was a fragrance reminiscent of many things, all difficult to pinpoint. Medicinal, fruity, metallic, powdery, freshly painted walls, wood...

The opening has a sweet chalkiness from rose oxide. This lingers but eventually becomes a creamy sweet sandalwood note that, in the base, is met by Comme des Garçons' classic spice blend.
