Tears

COTTON FIELDS IN GEORGIA AFTER THE RAIN

Tears is a collaboration between Denim Tears and Comme des Garçons Parfums, created by perfumer Paul Guerlain. The inspiration comes from the Georgia countryside after rain – wet cotton fields, red earth, dew, vegetation and warmth rising from the ground.

The fragrance opens green and aromatic with galbanum, sage and ambrettolide. At the heart, narcissus, jasmine, flouve and iris create a softer, grassy and lightly powdery texture. The base moves towards dry earth and hay, with vetiver, cypriol and musk adding depth and a rawer, more skin-like quality.

The result is an unusually tactile musk fragrance – green and earthy, with a distinct impression of damp vegetation and sun-warmed ground.
